One of the biggest appeals of AI is how it can learn from data without human intervention through its four components including data, algorithms, tools, and computing power. However, as the future of AI promises more automation of labor-intensive processes, it’s important for nonprofits to know what product they are paying for and what to look for in AI. Pertinent questions when considering AI include: How does your AI handle duplicated or “messy” data? Does this AI learn and improve over time based on the outcomes of its predictions? How can your provider guarantee that its AI results are fair and void of algorithmic bias?
