  As the minutes ticked down for the showdown vote in the acrimonious battle over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh Friday, White House officials arrived at the Capitol, expressing confidence about the outcome while key senators remained publicly undecided. Asked by USA TODAY if President Donald Trump has the votes to confirm Kavanaugh, spokesman Raj Shah replied: "We think so." A crucial procedural vote is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
