WHO celebrates one year anniversary of its WhatsApp chatbot service It’s been one year since the launch of the Whatsapp chatbot service. The platform has reached over 14 million people, sending more than 146 million messages in 20 languages around the world. “Over the past year, we have learned that chatbot services like this are critical in emergency situations to reach people with accurate health information where they are, in the palm of their hand,” said Andy Pattison, Manager of Digital Channels Team at WHO. “Work is continuing to make the WhatsApp chatbot even more accessible.
