Who run the world? You, me, and Beyoncé have known the answer to that question for a long time: GIRLS! But has the rest of the world caught up yet? When we look at the state of women’s rights, we still see a whole lot of discrepancies. Girls get better grades than boys but get paid less once they graduate. Women play the leads in Hollywood movies & Netflix series but are still underrepresented in world politics. But let's not forget we’ve already come a long way. This year IWD is all about #EachforEqual. We can all choose to be #EachforEqual. We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviors, and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society. Together, we can make change happen. Together, we can each help to create a gender-equal world (IWD, 2020).

With this year's theme, #EachForEqual, gender-equality is being put in the spotlight, by celebrating women's professional achievements. A movement that we are happy to join!
