Karel Avenue upgrade & road closures Sections of Karel Avenue and Berrigan Drive will be closed from 10-14 September 2020 to allow for bridge works which are part of the Karel Avenue Upgrade Project. The road closures will include Karel Avenue between Roe Highway and Pilatus Street, and Berrigan Drive between Karel Avenue and Spartan Street. Detours will be in place. |

The purpose of the plan is to encourage responsible dog and cat ownership, provide sufficient spaces for pets, people and wildlife, manage feral cats and embrace digital technology initiatives in animal management. |

Improving air safety at Jandakot Airport To improve safety, Airservices is modernising the approaches used for a jet aircraft arriving at Jandakot Airport as part of a national program. The improvements will be in place from 3 December 2020. |

Upgrades to Hammond Road Hammond Road between Branch Circus and Bertram Road, Success, is being upgraded. Stage 1 of the upgrade has commenced and includes the relocation of underground services. Stage 2 is scheduled for mid-2021 to 2023 and involves upgrading Hammond Road into two lanes each and installing new roundabouts at three key intersections. |

Seniors need a voice The City's Age-Friendly Reference Group is looking for new members to represent seniors in our community. As a member you will voice their concerns, provide advice and exchange information with the City. To apply, you will need to be a Cockburn resident, a senior, carer or advocate of seniors, or a person who works in the senior's field either in a voluntary or paid role in Cockburn.
