Some find casting their ballot early 'takes a lot of the pressure off'

Many of the people we spoke to who were voting early said they view the contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump as a pivotal moment for the nation.

So far, about two weeks ahead of the presidential election, 10% more people have gone to the polls to cast their ballot in Louisiana than at the same time in 2020.

A Baton Rouge police officer was racing to a call for backup, traveling at more than twice the speed limit, when she ran a red light and her vehicle slammed into the back of a Chevrolet Impala, killing a 38-year-old deaf man from Baton Rouge.

Now, she faces a charge of negligent homicide after she was indicted by a grand jury.
