So far, about two weeks ahead of the presidential election, 10% more people have gone to the polls to cast their ballot in Louisiana than at the same time in 2020. A Baton Rouge police officer was racing to a call for backup, traveling at more than twice the speed limit, when she ran a red light and her vehicle slammed into the back of a Chevrolet Impala, killing a 38-year-old deaf man from Baton Rouge.
