Paying for tax cuts: Gov. Jeff Landry is working behind the scenes to get the Louisiana Senate to back his bid to raise sales taxes by a penny to help pay for income tax cuts, the largest share of which will benefit the wealthy and corporations. Higher sales taxes hit the poor the hardest; Landry says the cuts they'll pay for will spur investment. Tyler Bridges has the story.
Misappropriation alleged: A former executive at a New Orleans nonprofit diverted hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for family parties and other personal expenses, according to a recent audit. Joseph Cranney has the details.
Database demands: Facebook's parent company, Meta, is looking at building a multi-billion-dollar data center in north Louisiana, which could create up to 500 new jobs. But there are concerns that the amount of electricity it would need could strain the power grid. Josie Abugov has this report.
