After a well deserved day off, the Saints return to the practice field on Friday for their ninth practice of training camp. It will also be our first chance to see Alvin Kamara since his summit meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. We'll see if Kamara meets the media after practice, as expected. The five-time Pro Bowl running has yet to speak to local reporters since camp started July 25. Until then, let's dive into today's newsletter... Who's rising and falling on the Saints' depth chart?This is the time in training camp when players start to separate themselves from others on the depth chart. Our coverage team got together to submit our first stock report -- Our risers and fallers -- after one week of camp. The Honey Badger does careCustomers at the Raising Cane's in Metairie got a surprise when they pulled up to the drive-thru window to pick up their orders on Thursday afternoon. Star safety Tyrann Mathieu worked the drive-thru and front counter during a fundraising event that also included a $25,000 check presentation from Cane's to the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation. Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden is expected to attend Saints training camp for the next three days, continuing the consultant/advisory role he started with the team earlier this offseason.
