Good morning,

Welcome to your morning news update from The Scotsman.

How was your bank holiday weekend? We hope you managed to enjoy yourself and get out to a beer garden or two and, if you were working all weekend, we hope you're getting some much needed rest and relaxation this morning.

In this morning's newsletter we have loads of weekend news for you,as we speak to a millionaire to ask why he has decided to pack his bags, move off the grid and make the move to a remote Scottish island.

Spoiler alert - we also have a review of the Line of Duty finale which has left so many conflicted after weeks of intense build up to last night's episode.

We have the results of a new poll too, which show some interesting results for Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP ahead of this week's Scottish election.

Scottish election 2021: Why are voters turning to the Greens?

An excellent piece here from our politics reporter Conor Matchett on why many Scots are looking to vote Green in this election.

As we alluded to in our introduction, a new poll shows the SNP appear set for another five years of majority rule, as the Scottish Greens sit at a high in the polls on 10 per cent, which is likely guaranteeing another five years of constitutional back-and-forth between the UK and Scottish Government.

Here we look at the reasons why Scots are voting Green in this election.

New yacht named after the Duke of Edinburgh reportedly to be commissioned 'within weeks'

A new yacht named after Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, is to be commissioned by the government following his death last month, it has been reported.

A successor to the Royal Yacht Britannia which was decommissioned in 1997, it has been reported that it could cost as much as £200 million.

Loch Earn Brewery and Hotel for sale for less than Edinburgh townhouse

Looking to start your own brewery business? Then we think this may be of interest to you.

Located in the Highlands village of St Fillans, Crieff, the business is on the market with Christie & Co and is currently costing less than a townhouse in the Capital.

The Loch Earn Brewery and Hotel sits on the banks of the loch and has uninterrupted views over the water and surrounding landscape.
