Amid AI's rapid rise, plenty of people have pointed out the need to balance the delicate dance between man and machine.
One without the other doesn't quite make the promised impact. Complete reliance on artificial intelligence can strip the humanity out of financial services. But professionals who completely resist the technology's progress may have trouble competing with those who embrace it.
That approach is part of what motivated the development of AdvisorFinder's new AstroAI tool. Out this week, the offering helps advisors who have trouble putting their ideas into words become more efficient content creators.
It joins tools like Snappy Kraken's new AI-powered email builder and Wealth Management GPT, a writing tool designed exclusively for advisors, on a growing list of programs that apply AI to advisor workflows in practical, understandable ways.
But AdvisorFinder CEO Jason Friedman explains that AstroAI was created with one limitation in mind. It can create content. But it can't distribute it.
That, he said, should be left to the real, human professionals.
"I think what people look for in AI is just as much automation as possible," he told Financial Planning. "For content … do I post one great blog, or do I let AI write 20 blogs a day?
"In reality, there's that middle ground. It can automate, but you need to put in the work."
