Good morning, Utah Today readers! Here’s today’s forecast: ☀️ 39 – 74° in Logan ☀️ 54 – 76° in Salt Lake City ☀️ 60 – 87° in St. George It looks like we’re going to have a beautiful day today! I don’t have much to chat about, so here are some quick hits to start your day: 🌪️ Hurricane Ian tore through central Florida leaving 600,000 homes and businesses in Florida without power and the death toll is over 80 at this point. (For context, Fiona hit Puerto Rico in mid-September and left 127,000 customers without power and had a death toll of 25.) ⚖️ Monday was the first day of a brand new session of the Supreme Court! This was also newly appointed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s first day. See what big, precedent-busting decisions are on the docket here. 🤫 Psst! Tell me: Pitch me a news story of something going on in your life! It can be anything from an earth-shattering event to a bunch of sheep blocking the road in your neighborhood. I’d love to hear it and share it with our other readers.
