More of Baton Rouge's top headlines inside
with Kelly P. Kissel | Metro editorWe're pretty close to making it to the weekend. Here are some headlines to carry you through the rest of the day. HOME ALONE: As Louisiana stumbles through a fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the state is taking steps to keep things running, though many government employees will be working from the house again. Capitol Bureau Chief Mark Ballard reports that, in an attempt to reduce infections, some state workers may be at the house three days a week. THE VERDICT: Why is a Baton Rouge suing all of his colleagues? Two appellate courts told him to. Joe Gyan explains here. ALIEN: Meet Ziggy, the lime-skinned, long-legged, antennae-topped puppet who stars in the new digital-first series from Louisiana Public Broadcasting. He’s the brainchild of local puppeteer Clay Achee, who says “Ziggy’s Art Adventure” will teach kids about “the arts, music and emotional intelligence, sharing, being a good friend, stuff like that.” Read all about it here. |
