Saints seeking first win in D.C. since Super Bowl season
With columnist Jeff Duncan The defense carried the Saints during the first three games of the season. But the unit collapsed down the stretch of the Saints' 27-21 overtime loss to the Giants last week. After its disappointing performance, the defense will be looking for a bounce-back effort against the Washington Football Team on Sunday in Landover, Md. Beat reporter Luke Johnson takes a look at a pair of Saints defenders who will be particularly motivated this week -- one fairly old; and one fairly new -- and why the Saints remain confident in their abilities. The Saints have a new kicker. Beat reporter Amie Just checks in with the veteran replacement for Aldrick Rosas, who was cut earlier this week after missing three consecutive field goals. Amie also breaks down this Sunday's matchup as the Saints seek their first win in Washington since 2009. And finally, the Saints added a key special teams player to their injury report on Thursday, Johnson reports.
