I’ll be live at 1 p.m. ET to demonstrate the strategy described below! Why End-of-Day Moves Can Predict the Next Day’s Market ActionMost traders focus on what happens during the trading day, but the real money is made in the final hour. Institutions aren’t chasing momentum at 10 a.m. — they’re placing their bets before the closing bell. If you know what to look for, you can use this end-of-day activity to predict what’s likely to happen the next morning. The Power of the Last Hour The last hour of trading is when serious money moves. This isn’t retail traders guessing on day trades — it’s institutions finalizing their positions for the next session. If you see a stock surging into the close on strong volume, there’s a good chance it continues higher the next morning. The same applies on the downside. If a stock is breaking down in the final minutes of trading, it’s usually not a great sign for the next session. This is why I always tell traders to watch which stocks are showing strength or weakness at the end of the day. It’s the cleanest signal you can get.
