| Great news to hear that Romain Grosjean will be racing again this year, taking the leap from Formula 1 to the IndyCar Series in America. It’s understandable that we won’t see him contest the big superspeedway races, however. His horrific fiery Bahrain crash, that ended his F1 career, was traumatic – not only for him to experience, but for his wife and young family to watch. Despite all the safety advances in recent years – stronger cars, the SAFER barrier, HANS device and aeroscreen – IndyCar racing on superspeedways remains the riskiest driving challenge in world motorsports. But what he will find in IndyCar is a paddock that’s a lot more enjoyable than the one he’s just left behind…
