NATIONAL: The NCAA will host its annual March Madness Tournament from March 18 to April 5 after canceling it last year due to pandemic-related concerns. Most of the tournament’s games will take place in Indianapolis in venues that include Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse and Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Fans will be able to attend these games or watch them live on TruTV, CBS and TNT. On April 13, Legacy Events will launch a new marketplace that organizes resources, vendor suggestions and other tips for planning a successful sustainable event. The team will host a virtual launch event on that day, which is free to attend for event professionals and will include networking opportunities and a discussion around the future of sustainable gatherings. CHICAGO: Dining in the Dark with The Secret Society will take place Wednesdays through Fridays beginning April 7. The event costs $89 per ticket and includes a meal featuring a secret menu, all in complete darkness. Food and drink will be served by waiters wearing night-vision goggles. DENVER: The Mile High Music Series is currently taking place Thursday nights at the Mile High Station. A general admission ticket includes a drink, a table reservation, a cocktail server and more. Groups are limited to 10 people to follow COVID-19 guidelines, and $5 from each ticket sold will go to a local nonprofit, which will vary each week. LOS ANGELES: The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) will host its 19th annual Night Before party virtually on April 24. Held the night before the Oscars every year, the benefit will be designed and produced by Rolling Live Studios, and MPTF will partner with chef Antonia Lofaso for a specially curated VIP pre-event mixer.
