Can NBCUniversal’s One21 Follow in the Footsteps of Facebook’s F8, Google I/O?
 
 

David Cohen reports that NBCUniversal is getting involved in the platform developer space with a new annual gathering called One21.

The conference in March gives the media giant a chance to open up its tech roadmap to developers, engineers, marketers and, of course, press. It’s NBCUniversal’s chance to take some of the best elements of the dog and pony shows from Google and Facebook the industry has come to expect. 

NBCUniversal chief marketing officer, advertising and partnerships Josh Feldman said in a statement, “One21 will give our partners a full view of the technology that powers their plans, the stories that connect them to consumers and the commerce tools that drive results.”

No doubt the TV industry has been upended by the pandemic, you can go deeper and read more about its plans from NBCUniversal chairman, global advertising and partnerships, Linda Yaccarino: “Consumer behavior has shifted permanently,” she explains to Jason Lynch. “We can’t transform the industry without transforming ourselves and our organization.”
