Virtually every problem that exists in healthcare today is exacerbated for rural providers due to lack of resources and funding, a smaller talent pool, and fewer points of access.

For this week's lead story, I spoke with nurse practitioners who say that employing more NPs and allowing them to practice at the top of their license is critical to making healthcare more accessible in rural areas.
