It’s been two long, grueling years of living through the COVID pandemic and somehow, by some miracle, I still haven’t gotten sick. Yes, I’ve taken all of the proper precautions, but so have many other people I know and they ended up with an infection. I live in New York City, a place that has been the epicenter of the virus numerous times. I’ve had known exposures. It seems almost mathematically impossible that I’ve avoided COVID this long. (And I hope I’m not jinxing it by admitting this.) I’m not alone. There are many people across the country who still haven’t gotten COVID either, and it’s baffling at this point in the pandemic. Senior reporter Catherine Pearson investigated a few illuminating theories on what might be going on. Read it and keep on doing what you’re doing to stay safe. ❤️, Lindsay |
