The headlines, crashes and eye-opening interviews are rolling in a rapid clip. And we're just getting started. But the moving target puts financial advisors in a difficult position.
Do they ignore it and sip their coffee amid the flames like the "this is fine" dog? Or do they seek information to understand, and if possible, stay ahead of it, knowing that the crash isn't swaying true believers away from the highly emotional asset class?
Financial Planning is just days away from focusing on the latter. On Dec. 12 -13, the free INVEST Cryptocurrency for Advisors conference kicks off. From the basics of blockchain to how advisors should work with investors already knee deep in digital assets, stop by for straight facts and no fiction.
And to help us keep track of this moving target, FP has gathered a crew of experts to sit on the event's advisory council. Among them is Caitlin Cook, head of marketing and communications at Hxro Labs, which provides crypto analysis and education. She caught up with us this week to talk about the fallout and what it should mean for advisors.
