Billboard.com: “‘The average consumer does not understand what percentage of tickets are being put out into the market for general availability versus holdbacks versus dripping into the market,' said Singh Cassidy, noting that quantity and dynamic pricing are important aspects of the buying process for consumers. Singh Cassidy explained that StubHub’s main objective as a company is not to be a broker, but to drive sell-through on its marketplace. The pricing tools the company plans to develop are a means to help content rights holders and fans get the best price for tickets."

TOP CHEF EXITS LETTUCE ENTERTAIN YOU FOLLOWING VIOLENT OUTBURST: Executive chef Doug Psaltis, a high profile partner of Lettuce Entertain You who oversaw a number of the group's restaurants, has left the organization. No formal explanation has been issued but current and former employees revealed that the culinarian physically and verbally attacked an employee at RPM Steak Chicago last week. 3. WONDER WOMEN TECH DIVERSITY & INCLUSION CONFERENCE KICKS OFF AGAIN: The Wonder Women Tech Diversity & Inclusion Conference kicks off today in Long Beach, California, with a highly diverse audience of technology superstars. MIAMI: Jazz trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard and conceptual artist Teresita Fernández will be honored with Arison Awards at the National YoungArts Foundation’s annual Backyard Ball on January 11, 2020. Set to be presented by jeweler Harry Winston, the awards will spotlight Blanchard’s and Fernández’s contributions to the arts alongside the achievements of the 2020 YoungArts award winners, celebrating the most accomplished young artists in the literary, visual, and performing arts.

NEW ORLEANS: The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center has appointed award-winning chef Virgile Brandel as executive chef. The National WWII Museum’s New Orleans property is slated to open this month with four dining outlets and a distinct 1940s theme.

NEW YORK: Highgate Hotels has appointed Barbara Christoph as general manager at Arthouse Hotel New York City. The move marks a return to Highgate for Christoph; she previously was with the company at the former On The Ave Hotel. Arthouse is planning to undergo a multi-million renovation next year.

WASHINGTON: NTP Events has been contracted by the Association for Vision Research and Ophthalmology to facilitate sales and oversee exhibitor services for the association's first international meeting. NTP Events also announced a three-year contract extension to manage booth sales, exhibitor marketing, and exhibit operations for the ARVO Annual Meeting.
