Your Friday evening update from the Lancashire Post
View email online | | | | | Feb 11, 2022 | | | | | | Gentlemen, here is the best piece of advice you will get today. Monday is the Feast of St Valentine....or Valentine’s Day to you and I. I hear sighs all across the county from chaps mumbling about the cost of flowers, chocolates and perfume...and the fact that this is a marketing gimmick dreamed up to sell more of the above and plenty of cards to boot. But look at it another way. St Valentine’s Day is your friend. This is the opportunity to show your wife, partner or girlfriend that you love her, not just today but every day, but without spending a fortune every day. It is a gesture designed to last at least until her birthday or Christmas and means you will be in the good books for most of 2022 and can remind her of this next time you forget to take the bins out. That money you spend on a dozen red roses on Monday is brownie points in the bank for use whenever the occasion merits it. So there you have it. You thought Valentine’s Day was a waste of money and something to be scoffed at? Not at all. It’s worth every penny. Ladies, I have tried.... Until next time, take care, Gillian Contact me at gillian.parkinson@jpimedia.co.uk Take advantage of our Valentine's Day offer for new subscribers by signing up HERE | |
