You would've seen the hashtag #VoetsekMeghan trending on Twitter over the weekend, while #MeghanMarkleIsALiar and #MeghanMarkleIsANarcissist are trending internationally.

In case you missed it, Meghan Markle dropped the first episode of her Archetypes podcast last week, and with it, an anecdote from her time in South Africa as part of her and Prince Harry's Sussex Royal Tour of Africa.

Meghan recalled during her conversation with Serena Williams, following their visit to Nyanga, they had to rush back to the "housing unit" they were staying in because "the heater in the nursery" where their son Archie was staying "caught on fire".

She explained Archie was with his nanny and not in the room when the heater caught fire.

"There was no smoke detector. Someone happened to just smell smoke down the hallway, went in, fire extinguished. He was supposed to be sleeping in there," she said.

The Duchess of Sussex then said she had to rush off to the couple's next engagement and leave Archie behind.

After Meghan's podcast – and this story in particular – made headlines. South Africans felt, however, that the royal was slamming the country that had welcomed her with open arms by both calling the reported estate she stayed in with her family a "housing unit" while raising flags about the exaggeration of a fire breaking out from a heater.

Black Coffee took home the International Achievement Award and thanked his team and his family in a pre-recorded video during SAMA28.

"Meet me at midnight," Taylor Swift announced on social media on Sunday night, after revealing her new album is coming at the MTV VMAs.

Prince Harry gave an emotional speech last week as his team competed and won at the fundraising Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup.

Arnold Vosloo may be an SA icon, but he's got typical dad moves that will melt your heart. A video shows the actor celebrating Ludik with a victory dance.

South African actors Warren Masemola and Thapelo Mokoena will feature in Showtime's upcoming series, King Shaka.
