Here’s what’s going on: Recent U.S. federal funding cuts have eliminated millions of dollars from Mozilla’s budget. That’s funding we relied on to power programs like the Responsible Computing Challenge and Common Voice — efforts that put ethics, equity, and human dignity at the heart of emerging technology. In the face of those cuts, Mozilla made a choice to stand firm. We’re keeping these programs going. And we’re doing it by turning to the people who have always had our back: our community.
