Very bad Vegetation Health Index In Romania

Since the vegetative growth is less advanced than usual because of a very dry autumn, crops could be more vulnerable to frost and low temperatures. Moreover, the snow cover looks insufficient in some parts of the country to protect wheat from low temperature.

Risk of winter kill

The situation in Romania is rather worrying because of a sharp drop in temperature. Indeed, temperatures were still displayed around +10°C end of November but dropped quickly under -10°C last week.
