Why you should think twice before commenting on a widow's dating life

Hearing that Amanda Kloots — the widow of Nick Cordero, the Broadway actor who died of complications from Covid-19 one year ago — has faced online criticism for dating again came as no surprise to other widows.

When you’re a woman who’s lost a spouse and dating again, everyone has an opinion. When you’re a man who’s lost a spouse and dating again, people just sympathize… and might even try to set you up with someone new. That’s what I found out when talking to widows and widowers about their respective experiences dating again. Here’s what else they had to say.
