Will Campbell is about to realize all his childhood dreams: being drafted by an NFL team, making millions, and hugging Roger Goodell. Well, two out of three isn't bad. The former LSU star left tackle is expected to be a high first-round draft pick when the NFL draft gets under way Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. ESPN's Mike Reiss projects Campbell to go with the fourth overall pick to the New England Patriots. It's hard to believe, but assuming Campbell is snapped up Thursday, he would be only the second LSU offensive lineman to be a first-round selection. Pro Football Hall of Famer Alan Faneca went with the 26th overall pick in 1998 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. As NFL teams build their rosters with the draft, college basketball teams are building theirs through the transfer portal. According to reports, LSU women's basketball has targeted a very big name in the portal: former South Carolina guard MiLaysia Fulwiley. Wednesday was the deadline for women's players to enter the portal. Our Reed Darcey tells us about the moves Kim Mulkey and her staff could still potentially make. LSU football coach Brian Kelly was at TPC Louisiana on Wednesday morning playing in the Zurich Classic pro-am. He spoke to Reed (busy young man) about building a deeper roster going into this season. As we've said before, the portal giveth and taketh away. Guard Curtis Givens is the latest LSU men's hoops player to enter the transfer portal. Toyloy Brown talked to Matt McMahon to get the latest on where the Tigers stand as they reshape the roster for 2025-26. That's all for now folks. Enjoy the draft and if you're so inclined, the golf at the Zurich Classic. Hope to see you there. Scott Rabalais |
