Mardi Gras 2025 was supposed to be the year the city reined in the practice of people "saving" spots days in advance of Carnival parades. But the New Year's Day attack on Bourbon Street changed things, and the infamous "Krewe of Chad" may have another year to run amok. Kasey Bubnash has the details. Travel ban: Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s administration cited a lack of funding when it backed out of a $20 million legal settlement with the Orleans Parish School Board. Now the City Council will consider banning travel for all city employees to help save money. Ben Myers has the story.
