Dear John,
When MIT announced in 2001 that we would open our curriculum to the world, we pioneered a movement to make knowledge a public good. Since then, MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) has shared more than 2,500 of MIT’s courses with over half a billion people. Thanks to OCW, learners like Doğa Kürkçüoğlu have been able to pursue their dream careers. For others like Maria Eduardo Barbosa, OCW has opened up new interests and educational pathways. Still more learners continue to benefit from access to MIT’s course materials every day.
Support from learners and friends like you has been integral to OCW’s reach and impact. Our supporters have helped us to revolutionize the knowledge-sharing movement, inspiring us to find new ways to open MIT up to learners around the world.
John, we want to stay at the forefront of open education — there’s still so much more to do — but we need your help. The best way to sustain our efforts, and be part of OpenCourseWare’s impact for years to come, is to make a recurring monthly or annual donation. It takes only a minute to start and you can make changes to or cancel your donation at any time.
Will you join us in shaping the future of the knowledge-sharing movement?
