Dear Voornaam, Will YOU regret 2022? Click here to find the Oregon Democrats on your ballot. As the tsunami of outside rightwing money floods into Oregon and couples up with the mega donations from a billionaire shoe magnate seeking raw, unaccountable political power, Oregon could change overnight, along with America. Oh, the change wonât be felt immediately - there can be a lag time in politics. But make no mistake, by the time our personal freedoms are stricken, it will be too late. Marriage equality, reproductive rights, health care access and quality public education will be eviscerated in Oregon and across the nation. Efforts to confront the climate crisis will cease. State voting systems - including Oregonâs groundbreaking Vote-by-Mail - will be dismantled and voting access and ease will depend on your zip code demographics, rather than equal access for all. The GOP is NOT concerned about public safety, they just point at the problems of their own creation, feign shock, and block funding for public safety and first responders. Lack of affordable housing and the rising houseless population is the cutting edge of GOP economic policy that has drained public coffers and the saving accounts of the 98% for 40 years. The only pushback to this garbage is YOU, the Democratic or non-affiliated voter that believes every kid should have a shot at a great education and every Oregonian should be able to have a job that pays the bills with a little left over. YOU believe in fairness, accountability and individual freedoms. Your VOTE is the way you make good on those beliefs. You have until Nov 8. No regrets.
-KC Hanson, Chair, Democratic Party of Oregon
