 Adelaide-based Monica Sharma is in a transnational marriage. She and her husband Vikas have homes in Australia and India, and before COVID hit would travel regularly between the two countries.
But Vikas has been stuck abroad since November 2019, when he flew to India to look after his sick mother.
"He can't think of coming to Australia leaving her behind in such uncertain times," says Monica, adding that the costs of flights and quarantine are further deterrents. |
