![]() Ironic: Cop gets a parking ticketIn the U.S., everyone is expected to follow the law â and police are no exception. But in some situations, we let them slide. For example, cops can run red lights with their sirens on, as well as carry a weapon in gun-free areas. But one cop was absolutely stunned when he returned to his patrol SUV to find a $350 ticket for parking in a handicap spot. While stopping at an Illinois mall, the officer absent-mindedly pulled into the spot and went inside without realizing the same parking rules we follow applied to him as well. But the officer regrets his decision and is taking full responsibility for the fine. At least he didnât try to park the SUV in a compact space â now thatâs unforgivable! As cities get bigger, parking only gets harder. We should take a cue from Japan. Click or tap to see Japanâs amazing automated underground parking structure. â |
