Good morning, Each year, Mary Crowley Cancer Research consults with hundreds of patients who come to our clinic seeking hope that a clinical trial can positively impact their cancer. While we have the unique expertise to specialize in early-phase clinical trials, we can’t do it without the support of donors like you. With your help, we can continue to work towards our mission of bringing hope to cancer patients through innovative clinical trials while advancing treatment for patients in the future. With community, we CAN bring the most innovative cancer research to North Texas. Mary Crowley brings innovative clinical trials with the most potential to cancer patients who desperately need more options. We have 80-90 trials open at any given time. Our team of physician investigators has years of expertise in selecting the most promising trials that best fit the needs of our patients. Cancer research is a constantly changing landscape, and we bring cutting-edge therapeutics here to Dallas. With community, we CAN make an impact on new treatments within our lifetime. Since its inception 20 years ago, Mary Crowley has helped to usher 17 new cancer drugs to FDA approval. Not only did those patients on trial have early access to these therapies years before they were available to the general public, but countless lives have also been saved because these drugs are now available. The cure for cancer may still be a far-off goal, but new and effective treatments are mere years away with clinical trials. With community, we CAN make a difference in the lives of cancer patients. Our clinic and staff at Mary Crowley look to help our patients as a whole person, beyond simply participating in our clinical trials. Our social worker works closely with our patients to ensure their mental and emotional needs are met and helps patients often overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to participate in our clinical trials. For those who demonstrate need, we provide financial assistance to help defray costs for travel, copays for medication, and other essentials. Our patients truly appreciate that they are not just seen as another number in our clinic, and our medical staff develops a personal relationship with each one of them. But we can’t do it without you. Cancer survival rates are still far too low. Clinical trials are key to developing the treatments to combat that. With community, we can give hope to cancer patients who need it the most. With community, more effective treatments with less toxic side effects are within reach. With community, we can. Please consider a tax-deductible donation this North Texas Giving Day. Donations may be made through the North Texas Giving Day website atwww.northtexasgivingday.org, as well as the Mary Crowley website www.marycrowley.org. We are grateful as ever for your support. Sincerely, | |
