Built With Bitcoin Opens Bitcoin Technology Center In Ejisu, Ghana
By BtcCasey The Built With Bitcoin Foundation, led by Founders Ray Youssef and Yusuf Nessary, is set to open a new Bitcoin Technology Center in Ghana.Â
The site will host a tour unveiling the facility on December 8, to be attended by local individuals as well as members of the Bitcoin community. The goal of the education center is to provide basic financial education regarding money, bitcoin and computers. Some of the courses to be covered include "Financial literacy: understanding money,â âIntroduction to Bitcoinâ and âEntrepreneurship.âÂ
Support for the facility comes from the Edwinase community, Blockchain Foundation Africa, and the Bitcoin community. |

African Bitcoin Mining Firm Gridless Raises $2 Million In Funding Round Led By Stillmark, Block Inc.
By BtcCasey Gridless, a bitcoin mining firm focused on the East Africa region, has finished a fundraising round led by Stillmark and Block Inc., alongside an angel round led by Factor[e].Â
Gridless finances the building of and manages the operation of their mining sites. Currently the business has five pilots in rural Kenya, with three of them being operational at this time.Â
The company has a mission of increasing cheap electricity and energy access for a region which has these in abundance, but not necessarily the infrastructure to benefit from that. With increasing investment in the region, not only will the bitcoin industry proliferate, but this infrastructure will enable incredible growth in a region ripe for opportunity. |
