Liebe Weinfreunde, natürlich geht auch in Apulien, das mit runden 320 Sonnentagen im Jahr zu den sonnenreichsten Regionen Europas zählt, die Sonne zu gegebener Abendzeit unter. Doch jeder der schon einmal den Stiefelabsatz bereist hat, wird bestätigen können, dass die Halbinsel Salento von einer ganz besonders intensiven Lichtfülle umgeben ist. Dieser schmale, vom ionischen und tyrrhenischen Meer umspülte Landstreifen, spiegelt dieses Licht auch in den Weinen wieder. So gehaltvoll und gleichzeitig geschmeidig wie Primitivo und Co. sind nicht viele Weine, weshalb die Roten aus Apulien allerorts derzeit auch zu den meistverkauften zählen, da sie zusätzlich mit tollem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis punkten können. Einen ebensolchen unkomplizierten Gaumenschmeichler möchten wir Ihnen diese Woche ans Herz legen. Der "Albrizzi" der Cantine Due Palme ist eine gekonnte Zusammenführung des einheimischen Primitivo mit dem internationalen Altmeister Cabernet Sauvignon. Nach der Handlese ist dieser Wein zu gleichen Anteilen exakt 6 Monate in Eichenholzfässern und anschließend noch einige Monate in der Flasche zur Reife gebracht worden. Wo einst nur zwei Palmen und ein kleines Landarbeiterhaus standen, sind nur die beiden Palmen geblieben und das Landarbeiterhaus ist einer der erfolgreichsten Genossenschaftskellereien Italiens gewichen. Deren Weine, wie im Falle des Flaggschiffs "Selvarossa", haben es beim italienischen Weinkritiker Luca Maroni sogar schon unter die Top 3 Rotweine Italiens geschafft.
