Hello, Wednesday is when we take a look at some of the brilliant things being done by the fine folk of Lancashire. It’s an unusual career for a young woman to wish for – working with the deceased and their families during the darkest days of their lives. But when Lancashire’s Laura Eave finished school it was at the top of her career choices. It’s only now however, after a decade teaching in Shanghai, that she’s embarked on her dream and made the most unlikely of career changes. Elsewhere, we’ve also got the best of your GCSE success stories after a big day for teenagers across the area. They’re a clever lot, that’s for sure. Further afield, wrestling star Wade Barrett is still flying the flag for Preston and Penwortham across the pond. He’s been speaking ahead of the stars of WWE returning for their first major event in the UK in 30 years. Thanks for reading, Adam adam.lord@nationalworld.com |
