"We developed our long term approach in consultation with advisors and are offering different options to enable them to maintain flexibility that balances their needs as well as those of our clients and our business," according to the firm.

Meeting-free weeks, first Fridays off and other initiatives have helped staffers unwind and focus on wellness.

"Start by building cognitive trust by ensuring the team is united on why it exists, the goals it shares, and the plans required to get there," advises psychologist George Karseras.

I begin my sleep routine -- cooling my room, putting away work and powering down my mind -- about 30 minutes before I get into bed. When I follow this, I get great sleep and wake up ready to hit the ground running. When I don’t, I pay for it with restless sleep, foggy head and a cranky disposition (my children say cranky is the wrong word. “More like Grendel from Beowulf,” says my son. Wow.)
