Podcasts that you can't miss

Episode 6 of Ghost Wrap is the final edition for 2022, with the latest news from MTN, Steinhoff, Alviva, Mpact, PBT Group, Shoprite - Massmart and Grand Parade Investments. In the final Magic Markets episode for the year, we signed off with a bang by welcoming international geopolitical analyst Marko Papic to the show. The rand caught a bid

With local headwinds having faded after the ANC Nasrec conference, the rand looked comfortable around the R17.30 handle. TreasuryONE notes that it was a relatively dull trading day in other markets, with the dollar under some pressure in the wake of softer retail sales and inflation data.

In case you missed it earlier this month, I would encourage you to check out the TreasuryONE webinar in which we discussed the likelihood of a recession in 2023. There was a vibrant Q&A at the end of the session, and you'll find the full recording here> >>

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Ghost Bites (Bell Equipment | Equites Property Fund | Jubilee Metals | KAP | Woolworths)

Bell Equipment delivers a great trading statement. Equites goes back to the drawing board in the Lidl deal. Jubilee looks strong. KAP is a mixed bag (as usual). Woolworths exits David Jones.

Chris Gilmour is clearly still busy this December, taking a fascinating look at the infrastructure spend deficit in critical economies like the US.

Inadequate infrastructure expenditure in the developed world

Telcos. Steinhoff. A take-private of Alviva. These are just some of the important updates in the final edition of Ghost Wrap for 2022.

This is an absolute must-listen, featuring international geopolitical analyst Marko Papic and his (often unorthodox) views on China, energy, Europe and so much more.
