Are you planning to apply to one of the NIH Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) Programâs funding opportunities? Consider attending the applicant webinar to be held on Thursday, August 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. ET. Are your student loan payments impeding your research career? Consider applying to one of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs). These programs repay up to $50,000 annually of a researcherâs qualified educational debt in return for a commitment to engage in NIH mission-relevant research. Applications will be accepted from September 1 to November 21, 2024. NCCIH is now participating in the funding opportunity âModel Continuums of Care Initiative (MCCI) to Advance Health Equity and End Health Disparities Among Women and Girls in Racial/Ethnic Minority and Other Underserved Communities (U34 Clinical Trials Required)â (RFA-AA-24-006). A due date is coming up on October 5, 2024, for new applications to PAR-23-122, the Research With Activities Related to Diversity (ReWARD) program. The ReWARD program supports the health-related research of scientists who are making a significant contribution to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and who have no current NIH research project grant funding. The program provides funding for both the scientific research and DEIA activities of investigators.Â

The journal Prevention Science just published an open-access supplemental issue, âDesign and Analytic Methods To Evaluate Multilevel Interventions To Reduce Health Disparities,â sponsored by the NIH Office of Disease Prevention (ODP).
