Work from Home Special
The Artists Newsletter Vol. #292

Greetings from ArtWeb HQ

We hope you and family are all managing okay and adapting to all the changes arising from the coronavirus disruptions.

Unusual times calls for an unusual newsletter, so this month we're looking at work from home.

Work from home, just like normal?

WFH (work from home) is a hot topic right now, but for many of us artists with a home studio that's just how we are used to working! How are you getting on with your work at the moment — are you finding the movement constraint an artistic constraint and new source of creativity? Or just a source of boredom? Let us know, tweet us @TheArtistsWeb and/or use the #artistathome hashtag.

Here's some interesting and funny examples we found:

The ArtWeb team has always worked from home

At ArtWeb HQ, it's pretty much business as usual. We've been a remote-work company since the very beginning, with 100% of the team all working from home/working remotely. Rest assured everything is continuing as normal and we foresee no disruptions anywhere along the line of our network providers or any aspect of what we do at ArtWeb.

Moreover, this is a good time to be updating and promoting your work online. There's been a noticeable uptick in web traffic to ArtWeb in the last few weeks. With everyone at home and no one visiting galleries, there are more people looking at artwork online. Unlike some other printing processes, screen printing doesn’t necessitate the use of highly specialised materials that can only be used in a similarly specialised environment. Quite the contrary – what you’ll need is relatively simple, and can be set up nearly anywhere.
