Before COVID, many of us thought of self-care as bubble baths and long walks. While those are still great, thinking of self-care as something we do purely after work isn’t enough, according to Jeanette Bronée, CEO and founder of Path for Life, Inc. and keynote speaker for Ragan’s Workplace Wellness Conference, Aug. 17 in Chicago. In “Rethinking Self-Care at Work,” Bronée will guide attendees through “unleashing the power of pausing.”

How DE&I changed in 2021


Sixty percent of respondents to Ragan’s 2022 Benchmark Communications survey are still making strategic DE&I plans. Others are having more open communications about diversity and inclusion topics, including through open conversations (59%), holding additional trainings on relevant topics (57%) or bringing in outside speakers.

Others are putting plans into action by creating new employee resource groups (44%), new DE&I positions (40%), changing talent, retention and employment policies (33%) or increasing diversity of suppliers and vendors (23%).
