The YMCA of Springfield opens its new downtown facility at Fourth and Carpenter streets on Monday.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 7,178 newly-confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the state Sunday, marking the third day in a row that figure was under 10,000.The announcement from health officials did include 57 deaths.
