The Mosaic Campus of First United Methodist Church of Sherman, Texas, hosted a "family-friendly drag show" that was moved to the church after originally being scheduled to take place at Pecan Grove Park West in Sherman, located about 65 miles north of Dallas. Protesters, drag performers and at least one adult in a so-called "furry" costume were at the location, where kids were seen on video attending the drag show. Read more.

The Nashville Presbytery, a regional governing body for the Presbyterian Church in America, has indefinitely suspended Scott Sauls, the senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church, due to his oversight of a toxic work culture. Sauls was placed on an indefinite leave of absence from his position following an investigation that was launched after former church staff members raised concerns about the pastor's behavior. Cobb Superior Court Senior Judge Stephen Schuster in Georgia has ruled that 185 congregations should be allowed to vote on whether to leave the United Methodist Church, ruling against a regional body's recent attempt to put a stop to the churches leaving the denomination. Pointing to paragraph 2553 of the UMC Book of Discipline, Schuster concluded, "They have a right, and I believe the North Georgia Council has an affirmative duty to assist them in holding a vote." "Superstar" Billy Graham, the devout Christian professional wrestler who named himself after the world-renowned Evangelical preacher, has died at the age of 79 following a long illness. The Facebook page for Graham confirmed his death, explaining he had been in the hospital since December. Read more.

The Los Angeles Dodgers canceled their plans to honor what Catholic advocacy group CatholicVote describes as an "anti-Catholic hate group" after its leader wrote a letter to the Major League baseball team asking it to sever ties with them. CatholicVote shared a statement from the team on Wednesday, indicating it had scrapped plans to include "The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" in its "pride night."
