The University of Houston-Clear Lake has agreed as part of a settlement to enact a policy confirming that registered student organizations can limit their leaders to those who share their beliefs. The Alliance Defending Freedom released a statement on Tuesday announcing it was voluntarily dismissing a lawsuit against the university filed on behalf of Ratio Christi and commended the school for “taking swift action to ensure Ratio Christi is given equal opportunity among its peer groups.”

The United Methodist Church and the Boy Scouts of America have reached an agreement that will extend church-sponsored charters through June 30, with the future between the two entities uncertain after that. The UMC says churches with scouting troops currently do not need to take action on the issue of charter renewal, though they are encouraged “to move forward with the annual membership renewal process for all youth and adults who participate in Scouting programs.” In a statement released Monday, the UMC noted the denomination "and the Boy Scouts of America have worked together to develop the character and values of youth through Scouting for more than a hundred years.” The BSA is working to resolve approximately 82,000 claims of sexual abuse leveled against it, with the expected compensation presently estimated to be around $2.7 billion.

Breitbart.com's News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow recently accused social media platform TikTok of "Chinese mind control," saying the app has captivated an “increasingly A.D.D. American mind” with its constant scrolling. In this editorial, Michael Brown calls the claim a stretch but says there's still good reason to be concerned about TikTok's influence on young people. Among the biggest concerns is users' fascination with mental illness, as evidenced by hashtags such as #Dissassociativeidentitydisorder and #Borderlinepersonalitydisorde going viral. Brown also says the sharp increase in younger generations identifying as LGBTQ is no accident, writing that this "is what takes place when a society loses its boundaries, casts off traditional biblical values, and inundates its young people with a constant flood of pro-LGBTQ messages and propaganda."
