Dear Friend...

Dear The 10th Man Reader,

Would you buy this chart?

chart

What if I told you that it was a British bank’s stock... and that you were being asked to buy it a couple of weeks after the Brexit vote?

If you remember, everyone was going bananas about British banks post-Brexit. Apocalyptic predictions were everywhere.

That’s usually one of the signs you should take the other side of the trade, which is why I advised my Street Freak readers to buy 250 shares of this stock in July 2016.

And here’s what happened next...

chart

Up, up, and away!

In fact, when we sold our position in HSBC Holdings (surprise!) on July 7, 2017, subscribers booked a 57.7% gain, including dividends.

If you’d bought the full 250 shares recommended, your position would have gone from $7,855 to $11,737.50 in the space of a year. On a large-cap bank, post-Brexit.

Subscribers were very happy with this one—so was I. It was a classic Street Freak trade: contrarian, brave, and a home run.

And Now for My Next Trade...

As I said in last week’s The 10th Man, I think brick-and-mortar retail has reached the bottom, which means it’s high time to go dumpster diving in mall REITs. That’s what we’re going to do in the next issue of Street Freak.

If you want to know what that pick is, I suggest you sign up.

Mauldin Economics is currently offering Street Freak for just $199, instead of the usual $299. You are not going to get better value than that.

Street Freak

And it’s risk-free for 90 days... unlike pretty much everything else in the current environment!

This email has been something of a victory lap. I should point out that not all of the trades we put on in Street Freak gain 50%-plus. But the positions sold by Street Freak this year realized an average gain of 18.7%... and 2016 was a good year too, with a 12.9% appreciation in total.

Finally, if you decide not to join Street Freak, take this one lesson away with you: if you have high conviction in a trade, and if it seems like it would get you laughed off the set at CNBC, stick with it.

But I hope that you’ll join me and thousands of other Street Freak-ers for the next triumphant jog around the track.

Regards,

Jared Dillian
