Would You Host an Audio-Only Event? LinkedIn is the latest platform to announce an audio-only event feature. But how do you engage attendees with just one sense? Here are some tips.
NATIONAL: Hilton’s Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites have announced that 100% of its hotels across the U.S. and Canada are now pet friendly. The collaboration was made possible by Hilton’s partnership with Mars Petcare and its Better Cities for Pets initiative. Across the more than 1,000 locations that will now allow guests to bring their furry friends, there is also an online service where attendees can chat with experts about their pet-related concerns regarding their hotel stays. It was also revealed that by the end of April 2022, Tru by Hilton, Hampton by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Embassy Suites by Hilton will also be completely pet friendly in the U.S. and Canada.
ARLINGTON, TEXAS:The Dinosaur Safari at River Legacy Living Science Center is happening now through Feb. 12. Constructed as an immersive jungle setting, children and adults alike will be able to learn about prehistoric life with the help of animatronic dinosaurs and fossils. Tickets are free for children two and under, $7 for kids ages three to 12 and $10 for adults.
ATLANTA:"Peppa Pig Live! Peppa Pig’s Adventure" is coming to Atlanta on March 20, and tickets are now available for $25. During the 60-minute musical, the audience will join Peppa Pig as she embarks on a camping trip with George and her friends Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF: Visit Huntington Beach has named Susan Valen its new director of sales. Prior to this position, Valen held director of sales and marketing manager positions at Marriott and Hilton brands. Most recently, she served as the national sales director for the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau for the past 13 years.
NEW YORK:The sixth annual Blue Jacket Fashion Show is taking place at Moonlight Studios in Manhattan on Feb. 17 in support of prostate cancer awareness. The show aims to draw attention to the disease as the second leading cause of cancer death in American men. Patrons, whether they are attending the show or not, are encouraged to donate to the nonprofit ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer via its website.
