Would you like to know the secrets to those exquisite desserts you're seeing?
You can make these with a $1.00 chocolate mix but you don't have to--you can make them from scratch. (By the way, if you're in the area, we're serving these for free in the store. Stop by.)
The cupcakes. These are very good cupcakes loaded with mini chocolate chips. You can make them from scratch. (Those fluffy mixes you get in the store, the chips will usually sink through the light batter.)
They are frosted with a thick fudge frosting and topped with a whipped cream frosting with pastry filling added. You can add jam instead of the filling.
The cake. It's made with the same dense, almost brownie-like mix and then frosted with a thick, glossy fudge frosting. If you can't get your frosting that glossy, hit it with your hair dryer to melt the top.
The cuts are made one at time, washing the blade between cuts and leaving the blade a little damp. Use a guillotine motion; don't drag the blade through the frosting.
