Generation X and millennials would gain the most from a federal minimum wage increase, according to research from the Economic Policy Institute. An increase would benefit 53% of employees ages 25 to 54, 9% of teenagers and 14.6% of workers age 55 or older.

Employees are seen as cybersecurity's weakest link
While information technology can put myriad cyberdefense tools in place, employee negligence can erode those efforts, information security company Shred-It has reported. Employees typically set weak passwords, fail to recognize ransomware or spear-phishing attacks, display lax social media awareness and can fail to adequately protect sensitive information, Shred-It wrote in a report.

Survey findings on after-work email access
A Robert Half Technology survey of 2,800 internet technology decision-makers and 2,800 office workers found that 66% of leaders could adhere to a policy that bans employee access to after-hours work emails. The survey also found that 41% of office workers did not think their manager would follow the rule, and only 46% of employees thought they could stay off their work emails after hours.
