A new frontier: Benson Tower will be home to the Gulf South's first medical school operated by a historically Black university. The Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine will join only four other historically Black institutions in the U.S. that educate the next generation of physicians as the nation grapples with a critical shortage of doctors. Desiree Stennett has the story. Crowd control: Jazz Fest organizers have spared no expense to make room for The Rolling Stones — including some accommodations that have come at the cost of their own staff. As the Stones perform at the Festival Stage Thursday, the show also will be screened at some of the Fair Grounds' smaller stages. That's where Jazz Fest staff, volunteers and vendors are invited to watch. Doug MacCash has more on the efforts to keep Thursday's crowds under control. Escalating tensions: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators skirmished with New Orleans police again on Monday evening, this time outside Tulane University, where at least six protestors were arrested as they set up tents on campus. The protest came just hours after a dozen demonstrators who were arrested in Jackson Square the day before appeared in court. Missy Wilkinson has this look at the escalating tensions between local protestors and police.
