Balkan Workers Allege Tesla Denied California Overtime
Fremont, CA A California federal judge has ruled that over 100 Balkan workers employed at Tesla’s facility in Fremont can proceed with an overtime class action. According to Judge Beth Labson Freeman, there is enough evidence to imply that the workers were paid flat monthly wages without overtime, a California labor law violation. Tesla is gaining a reputation for overtime lawsuits.

San Francisco, CA A Home Depot wage & hour class action lawsuit is seeking preliminary approval of a $72.5 million settlement, which will resolve allegations of unpaid off-the-clock work. The complaint was brought under California's Private Attorneys General by the home improvement company’s workers going back to early 2016 and a trial was slated for this year. The preliminary California labor settlement was filed last month in a San Francisco federal court and covers more than 272,000 people employed by Home Depot in the state since March 8, 2012.

Xerox Settles ERISA Lawsuit for $7.2 Million plus Free or Reduced-Cost Retiree Medical and Dental Coverage
Rochester, NY On June 15, plaintiffs revealed that Xerox Corp. has agreed to settle a class action ERISA lawsuit by paying the 900-retiree class $7.2 million to reimburse them for premiums paid since January 2019. In addition, Xerox committed itself to providing the retirees with premium-free medical coverage and reduced-premium dental coverage.

Since Philips announced CPAP health problems following countless reports of tiny black particles found in the tubing and face masks released by the degrading sound abatement foam inside the sleep machines, thousands upon thousands of CPAP lawsuits have been filed. And the FDA reported that the rate of new lawsuits spiked, due to a potential deadline in some states and despite recent test results that Philips said “is unlikely to result in an appreciable harm to health in patients.”
